CP - In today’s societies this is the ‘what is in it for me’, however it is the creative driving force. In organisations this is the basis of innovation. Individuals with high scores in this value system have the charisma and cunning to hide and manipulate other value system to their own ends. For most of the Planet this is the main way of living that controls the ‘Tribal Way’.
People out of frustration (unhealthy pulse) with the controls on the use of the Tribal BO path formed the third integral pulse. This occurred about 10,000 years ago according to Prof. Clare W Graves. This path was put anywhere without thought for others. The kings, baronies and fiefdoms controlled and owned the paths; if they went to war they took over other paths and rights of way. Unless the path served the King or had a ‘what’s in it for me’, ‘me first’ and ‘let me get there first whatever’ outcome then this path would not survive. The paths were the most creative and beautiful in design. The values and beliefs (memes) that are attracted to this basic assumption were to create empires and power. This is where the strongest survive, the world is a jungle and the most creative and cunning survived. In today’s world, this is the innovative streak but also it is the cunning and deceitful side, manipulating others for personal gain.
This is the third measurable pulse of culture and a pulse that is again that has been left in a weak and unhealthy state stopping creativity and being proud of being a unique person. The world becomes a ‘jungle’ where the strongest and most cunning survive. A mantra of Empire and Power oriented, where it is the Survival of the fittest.
